Charles E. Ahner
joined Ahner Medical Center in 2002 after completing his
residency at Forest Park Hospital (affiliated with St. Louis
University). As a resident, Dr. Ahner received several
awards including outstanding intern
of the year, resident of the year and was elected
Chief resident in his final year. After passing the National
Board, Dr. Ahner became a Diplomate of the American Board of
Internal Medicine.

Dr. Ahner has been
in practice ever since, and is now focused on a broader
spectrum of medicine. He is the medical director of the
Ahner Medical Center; manages patient care, Chelation
therapy, Bioidentical Hormone Replacement therapy, Nutrition
and Weight Loss, and much more.
Dr. Ahner has a
passion for preventive and complimentary medicine. His
philosophy is to direct therapy based on the individual.
He believes that the job of a great physician is to treat
not only acute medical conditions but also to keep "healthy
people healthy"... to be proactive. He feels if we treat
hypertension, diabetes, arthritis, heart disease and other
chronic diseases aggressively, we can also reverse disease
by modulating markers of disease before they become
problematic.
Dr. Ahner is
dedicated to quality patient care and continues his
education and affiliation as a member of ACAM (American
College for the Advancement of Medicine) and, AAAAM
(American Academy of Anti Aging Medicine).
